When planning a giveaway, make sure you’re giving the winners something worth winning.
Let’s face it, we all love a freebie, but, personally I’m less incentivised to participate in an IG contest if the brand messes with my street cred, includes 13 steps to complete, 6 profiles to follow (and unfollow once the contest ends), and the prize sucks.
In the last giveaway campaign I led, we gained 8K followers and newsletter subscribers in 3 weeks. The secret? The content was engaging, the social signal was strong, the rules were clear and the prize was one I wanted to *actually* win.
So, keep it simple:
Create a well-rounded campaign with fun, yet strategic content.
